Tooth extraction
Even though we try to preserve every tooth for as long as possible, it may be necessary to extract (remove) a tooth. Normally, such a tooth extraction is performed in the dental practice under local anesthesia, unless you have health concerns that increase the risk of infection or severe postoperative bleeding. Indications for a tooth extraction can be: extreme tooth loosening, a longitudinal fracture, massive inflammation of the root tip, displacement of a tooth, lack of space or a supernumerary tooth.
